Three residents are vying for the one available seat on the Ray County Hospital and Healthcare Board.

The candidates — Gretchen “Bush” Edwards, Jessica McMillan and Justin Wrisinger.

To give voters insight into the new board members and their views on important subjects, they responded to a questionnaire from Richmond News.

“There are no qualifications for anyone running for a board,” said Ray County Clerk Heather Graff-Maulsby. BACKGROUND INFORMATION Richmond News asked each candidate to list their age, address, marital status, number of children, highest grade completed, employer and relevant political experience. However, McMillan declined.

Bush-Edwards – A Richmond native, she has 23 years’ experience in education. She is married to Brad Edwards and has two sons, Noah and Abram Edwards. She has worked in both Lawson and Richmond, serving as a special education teacher, process coordinator and School Psychological Examiner.
