Woods looks to continue serving as circuit clerk
Ray County’s circuit clerk race will not feature a contested election this August, but voters will still decide whether to return the incumbent to office.
Michelle Woods is seeking re-election as Ray County circuit clerk in the Aug. 4 election.
Woods was raised in Ray County, graduated from Richmond High School and earned an associate degree. She has worked in the Ray County court system for 10 years, including the past four years as circuit clerk. Woods and her husband, Jesse, have been married for 35 years and have two sons, Nathaniel and Nicholas, along with five grandchildren.
Woods said she is seeking another term to continue serving the county and building on the work of the circuit clerk’s office.
“I think we have a great group of clerks working in the civil and criminal offices and would like to continue serving as the Ray County circuit clerk,” stated Woods.
