Warrant issues revealed in March continue

The problem with Ray County Sheriff’s Office’s (RCSO) handling of warrant entries was first brought to light in a March Ray County Commissioner’s (RCC) meeting. Commissioners were informed of the problem by the Ray County 911 Board, who came to the group seeking solutions. At that time, the agencies agreed to a 90-day testing period to implement new ways to improve the transference of information. Prior to the meeting, the Ray County 911 Office and its board members worked with Shareholding Attorney Jennifer Snider of Witt, Hicklin, Snider and Fain D.C. Following the meeting, a letter was sent to Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers regarding the data being entered into the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) systems.
