Tri-County Mental Health rebrands name
Tri-County Mental Health rebranded its name to Beacon Mental Health, announced Prevention Specialist for the Ray County Coalition (RCC) Deborah Neel at the latest RCC meeting. Beacon Mental Health service mental health, substance use treatment, prevention and wellness activities for Clay, Platte and Ray counties in metropolitan Kansas City.
“Tri-County Mental Health has changed its name, and the name change started two years ago after conducting research, and nothing has changed as far as ownership, services, and leadership,” said Neel.
To lessen confusion from other agencies, Neel explained that the new name may set them apart.
“It is all the same, they have done research, and there are several ‘tri-counties’ on the map, and people can get us confused with others. Then people think we are a hospital and show up. It’s called Beacon Mental Health,” added Neel.
