School starts in a couple of weeks and with excitement, Dear Elementary Principal Dr. Marlaine Boyd wanted to share information regarding elementary school parking, keeping the construction at the early childhood center in mind “We will be managing traffic with the construction and of course the excitement that comes with a new facility. Traffic patterns may be different than previous years and our parking will be limited,” she said. “We just ask everyone to be extra cautious, read and follow the signs posted. Please allow extra time for pick up and drop off. Groundbreaking dates have not been set yet but once they are we will share the date and time with the community so that all can be connected to the excitement.” Boyd and the R-XVI School District saw the need for an early childhood center in the Richmond community and announced earlier this year a center is underway, with a projected completion date of 2024-25 school year.
