Sunrise staff shares projects made possible through grant

During last week’s Richmond R-XVI School Board meeting, Sunrise Elementary Principal Sara Terrill called upon her staffers to voice their thoughts on past usage of Richmond Education Foundation Impact Grants. The education foundation was established in 1999 to help provide a financial outreach from the school district to the community. It is designed to generate a solid fiscal base for promoting and supporting quality education for the youth of the local school district, according to www.richmond. k12.mo.us. Fund monies are generated by volunteer charitable contributions or fundraising activities by the foundation. Sunrise Elementary educators Lindsey Adams, Jane Schreurs, Darla Weekley and Alaze Chowning presented updates made in their classrooms thanks to the grant.
