Seniors say virus shots hard to get

JEFFERSON CITY – COVID-19 vaccine questions from older Missourians received answers, not all satisfactory, during an online call with Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, Department of Health and Senior Services Director Randall Williams and AARP Missouri’s Jay Hardenbrook. “Most of our nursing homes are probably for sure all ‘shot one’ and lots of them are up to shot two,” Kehoe said during the statewide, online call with seniors Monday. “Veterans homes – the same position. I know they’ve all (received) shot one, many of them are going back for shot two.” Health care workers can get the twodose vaccine if they want and so can first responders, he said.
