RICHMOND – Taking individualized graduation photos in the Richmond High School gymnasium simulates a typical graduation, photographer David Dice of Dice Photography said. He set up the lighting for individual portraits and snapped pho-tos of grads accepting mock diplomas May 29. “It’s very gracious for the administration and the school to go to this effort to make this come true for the graduates,” Dice said. Incoming Superintendent Greg Darling said the photo shoot is not the graduation ceremony many expected while working toward their diplomas, but represents a reasonable step toward honoring graduates. “I just feel so bad for these kids, but through tough times, you do tough things,” Darling said. After her son, Ryan Graham, had posed for a portrait, Kathy Troxel said she considered the photo session valuable. “It’s very important.
