RHS presents murder-mystery comedy play

The Richmond High School (RHS) theater presented the murder-mystery comedy “The Albis” play written by Jonathan Dorf and other contributing authors. The play is about the murder of billionaire J. Leslie Arlington, and a clueless detective finds the suspects are all reluctant to admit their alibis because they were all committing other ridiculous crimes at the time. RHS theater advisor Shari Donaldson said she chose the play because her students were craving a mystery genre. “I liked how each of the six suspect scenes stood alone and gave students a chance to be the main character of a scene. I also liked the fact that the scenes each had a different feel, so students could be part of scenes that fit their acting style,” she stated. Donaldson said her favorite scene was the rant about the Good-N-Plenty candy. Although the play was deemed a success, Donaldson admitted it wasn’t without challenges.
