BOOKSAND BATS The girls on the Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity softball team have impressed the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association with their bookwork. Recently, the association recognized NHC as a Class 1 academic all-state honoree for carrying a 3.72 grade point average (GPA). Brandee Doyle, an assistant coach to Jason McKinney, stated via email that teams had to carry at least a 3.3 GPA to receive the award.
