Ray County Library announces new year for Summer Reading

RICHMOND – Ray County Library’s 2020 Summer Reading Program starts June 5 and ends Aug. 7. Children and teens ages 0-19 are eligible to participate. “Our summer reading program motivates children and teens to read for enjoyment and aids in reading retention during the summer months. In addition to reading, children will have an opportunity to participate in literature-related enrichment activities, a release from Library Director Stacy Hisle stated. “Thanks to our generous sponsors, each participant will receive a free book for registering and will earn incentive coupons after reading for 600 minutes.” The following community partners provided incentive coupons for program participants: McDonald’s, Sonic and Taco Bell/KFC.
