A Hardin man was granted a bond reduction after the prosecution requested his preliminary hearing be continued. Joseph D. L. Grieme, 23, is facing two felony charges of first-degree domestic assault and abuse or neglect of a child, no sexual contact. Grieme was in court last week for a preliminary hearing with Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins presiding when the prosecutor’s office requested a continuance. “Our witness is not here, so we are requesting a continuance,” said Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Tara Medlin. Grieme, along with his public defender, Rebecca M. Abeln, objected to the request. “If the court agrees to a continuance, we request an ROR (release on recognizance) bond,” Abeln said.
