Professionals, guests take overnight paranormal tour of Ray County Museum

From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sept. 24, the Ray County Museum hosted an overnight ghost hunt with the Paranormal Task Force (PTF) and Haunted Souls Society (HSS) . Cathy Gottsch, museum manager, said the museum has had “activity” in the nighttime and was excited for those who got tickets to check it out. Nick Campagna, HSS president, helped people sign in and get into their ghost hunting groups. The night included a pre-investigative tour, overnight access until 2 a.m. Some areas were restricted. Activities also included a private ghost hunt, with investigators from the PTF and special guests providing a history of hauntings of the building. In addition, visitors received a midnight snack and were given a crash course in the use of hand-held ghost hunting equipment.
