Patrons make restaurant destination spot to savor quality dining experience

RICHMOND – Like biting into a thick steak, the name – Branded Steakhouse, Oink & Moo BBQ & Taproom – is a mouthful. A new city landmark, the restaurant stands at 708 Wollard Blvd. in the old Apple Market shopping center at the intersection of East South Street and Wollard Boulevard, Richmond. Moving from East Main to a new location, about four times larger than the other, serves the public better, owner Randy Huffman said last week. The old place lacked parking, seats and visibility. “(Now), there’s plenty of parking, plenty of seating – same good food,” he said. “Definitely same good food,” employee Payden Brown said. Brown has been employed by Branded for about two weeks. “The food is amazing.” The comment is meaningful. Like the old location, the new site draws people from all over, including off Interstate Highway 70 about 20 miles south, Huffman said.
