Richmond City Parks and Recreation is hosting an “American Celebration” Friday, June 30. Free swim will be offered at Southview Pool from 5-8:30 p.m. Face painting, bounce houses and vendors will also be offered from 5-9 p.m. The Richmond VFW will present the National Anthem, invocation and the raising of the flag at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. “It’s always a good time.
