New assistant superintendent comes from Holden School District

RICHMOND – The last of four key administrative positions in the Richmond School District has been filled. Holden High School Principal Ginger Jones agreed to serve as Richmond’s assistant superintendent of schools. “We’re excited to have everybody in place,” Richmond School Board President Penny Vandiver said. The district over the past two months has filled the positions of superintendent and assistant superintendent, and high school principal and vice principal. “We’re thrilled that she’s coming here from Holden,” Vandiver said. “Technology will benefit from having her, and she’s very strong in curriculum instruction.” Jones has served as Holden High School principal for the past 11 years. Before that, she served 11 years as a high school business teacher, and as FBLA and DECA advisor at Holden and Trenton high schools.
