MoDOT considers county sign on bridges

HENRIETTA – There is no county line signage on the Ike Skelton Bridge between Lafayette and Ray counties, but that might change. “It is standard to have county line signs either on the bridge or on either side of the bridge,” MoDOT’s Kansas City metro traffi operations engineer, Ericka Ross, said. She could not explain the lack of county signage. “I don’t know if there were some there that got knocked down or if they’ve never been there,” Ross said. The state could place county signs on the bridge, she said. “That is something that we would do with our crews in-house,” Ross said. “We can absolutely try to work on getting those installed.” Such signs are not a high priority, meaning the public should not expect them in the next couple of weeks, she said. “They are pushed pretty far down the list, but I can absolutely get a work order going for them,” Ross said.
