WALNUT CREEK, California – Missouri ranks No. 4 among states with the loosest restrictions on reopening plans as COVID-19 slows nationally, based on information compiled by WalletHub, a personal finance group. To identify which states have the fewest coronavirus restrictions, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 11 metrics. The data set ranges from whether childcare programs and restaurants have reopened to the presence or absence of a “shelter-in-place” order. Missouri is least restrictive in: • 1st – requirement to wear a face mask in public, • 1st – reopening of childcare programs, • 1st – travel restrictions, • 2nd – large gathering restrictions, • 7th – stay-home orders, • 20th – reopening of nonessential businesses and • 2nd – reopening of restaurants and bars.
