The Richmond News team celebrated National Newspaper Week with an open house on Thursday, Oct. 3. The doors were open to the public with drinks, food, and facility tours. This year marks the 83rd celebration of National Newspaper Week. Since 1940, Newspaper Association Managers has sponsored and supported National Newspaper Week, a week-long promotion of the newspaper industry in the United States and Canada, according to nationalnewspaperweek. com. “Our industry is notorious for putting our heads down and doing what it takes to get the job done. That week gives us a chance to highlight the importance of what we do and the people that make it happen,” said Richmond News General Manager Sharon Donat.
