RICHMOND – Serving people in Ray, Clay and other areas, the area’s sheltered workshop, Ideal Industries Inc., remains open partly, Director Heather Pugh said. “We have supervisors only on the floor, with a few employees working on the floor as well,” Pugh said. The part of the operation that remains open is considered essential, she said. “All of our contracts are essential businesses,” Pugh said. “We have a contract with the Department of Transportation, 3M … They are all essential contracts.” The workshop works closely with Ray County Health Department Director Shelby Spor to make sure health is protected.
