Head East, Rampage rock Richmond reunion
RICHMOND – The musical groups Head East and Rampage rocked the Richmond High School All-School Reunion Sept. 25 at 722 Wollard Blvd.

Fans cheered the old-school rock music dating to the era of the Allman Brothers, known for “Ramblin’ Man”; and Lynyrd Skynyrd, known for “Sweet Home Alabama.”
Jerry Penniston, 62, recalled hearing Head East in its heyday, when “Never Been Any Reason” – featured on the 1975 “Flat as a Pancake” album – went gold.
“I remember both of the bands. They’ve both been around forever,” Penniston, who helped with the event, said.
Everyone got in free at the old Apple Market parking lot. Penniston estimated well over 100 people attended the event.
