Everyone has leadership skills that can help cultivate their communities. Hardin-Central (HC) Future Farmers of America (FFA) members were given the opportunity to learn how they can cultivate their own communities during Missouri State FFA Leadership Camp. FFA camp is held in Kaiser, Mo., at Camp Rising Sun, located near the Lake of the Ozarks. The chapter was represented by Kaden McGinnis, Dillion Oyler, Jace McNelly, Kadence Quick, Katy Musselman, Lilly Lyon, Hannah Finley and HC FFA Advisor Joe Robinson. While attending camp, FFA members participated in leadership sessions, speaking contests, instructional archery, waterfront activities and trapshooting. All campers were required to attend specific leadership sessions and activities. Members who attended these sessions could earn the state FFA Leadership Award, the highest award achievable at an FFA camp. Members who were not working towards their leadership medal attended instructional sessions or other optional activities. …
