Area residents gathered for the annual Farmers Appreciation Dinner, held as part of the Ray County Fair, last week. Fair sponsors, local businesses and farmers made their way to the fairgrounds to get in line for their meals, provided by Branded Steakhouse. As those in attendance completed their meals, multiple awards were given out to youth and families by various organizations. The KMMO/Brownfield Network recognized an FFA student for achievements and strong involvement in ag programs. “The award goes to a very hardworking person. They have to have responsibility, a great work ethic and most importantly, a love for agriculture.
