Early Childhood Center near completion, budget, handbook reviewed

A major construction project in the Richmond RXVI School District is on track for completion this summer, with administrators eyeing an August open house and a fall launch for the Early Childhood Development Center. Final flooring, cabinet installation and system testing are underway, with furniture expected to arrive by July 1. Substantial completion is projected for early July, with complete occupancy set for July 16. “You can really see how it’s coming together,” said Superintendent Dr. Bryan Copple. “It’s considerably larger inside than it looks from the road. I think you’ll be very pleased with what’s coming together.” Once finished, the building’s fire alarm and evacuation system will be synced with the adjoining Early Childhood Center for safety compatibility.
