To create common expectations and encourage positive behavior among students in Dear Elementary in Richmond, the Dear Behavior and Trauma-informed Staff (BAT) team created posters to be displayed around the school, in classrooms, bathrooms and the gym. Principal Dr. Marlaine Boyd presented the project to the Richmond R-XVI School Board meeting last week. Students notice and appreciate the little extra visual effects used in the classroom, she said.
