Council approves concrete tee pads

The Spartan Ridge at Southview Park disc golf course was a topic at Tuesday’s Richmond City Council meeting. The next stage of the course project involves creating concrete tees. Richmond City Park Board received a bid on the project — installation of 19 concrete pads sized 4x12 feet — from Don Jennings Construction LLC at a total cost of $8,071.20. “You can see the design and it was approved by the school. The concrete pads for the tees need to be poured. Don Jennings has given us bids supplying everything, including the concrete,” said Councilwoman Deanna Guy. “The park board has recommended he do the pads.” Along with the tee pads, the park board recommended the removal and reinstallation of approximately 490 feet of sidewalk from the north parking lot, connecting to the south sidewalk.
