Ray County Commissioners Billy Gaines and Dave Powell recently approved an expansion at Ray Rocks Offroad Resort’s (RROR), extending their park by nearly 20 acres. The commission had previously tabled the item on Nov. 15, 2023. Owners approached the commission in November 2023 about increasing the resort’s size to include a 20-acre parcel already owned by the company. Commissioners tabled the request. Four months later, RROR owners Marianne D’Amato and Devin Wilmoth asked the commission to again consider their request. D’Amato and Wilmoth said the neighboring 20 acreage — located northwest of their current property — has a house on it. The owners considered remodeling the house to rent or sell, but the neighbor near the property refused to share the driveway leading to it.
