Clay, Ray log coronavirus cases
RICHMOND – Ray and Clay counties released new coronavirus totals.
Ray County has logged 25 cases, or 1 per 913 people. No COVID-19 deaths have been reported.
Clay County has reported 342 cases, or 1 per 334 people. There have been nine deaths.
Ray County received a good report following a one-day testing program, County Commission members said.
“They had 65 (people) given the test down at the fairground and it came back 65 negatives,” Ray County Presiding Commissioner Bob King said.
“The share of coronavirus infections born in rural Missouri is rising, and now accounts for about 30% of the state’s new cases – a greater portion than ever before,” The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
