City gets 2020 citizen survey answers
RICHMOND – The city’s citizen survey by an independent contractor, ETC, is expected to help determine priorities for improvement and will guide the Richmond Comprehensive Development Plan update.
The city has not had a plan update and survey in 20 years.
Out of 1,500 mailed surveys, the 310 that came back provide a 95% level of confidence.
“We want to thank the residents who responded to the survey,” Mayor Mike Wright said. “The results help us to better understand our citizens’ level of satisfaction and dissatisfaction with city services. It is important that those of us that are elected to represent the public in making decisions and setting priorities that align with what our citizens want.”
Results show 77% of respondents who had an opinion rated the city as an “excellent” or “good” place to live. They are most satisfied with fire and police services, overall maintenance of parks and trails, and overall customer service.
