Bond hearing delayed for man charged with felony rape, possession
Due to lack of representation, a June 13 bond hearing has been continued until Thursday, June 15 regarding the case of a Wood Heights man who is facing four felony charges.
As a result of intel received by law enforcement regarding criminal activity occurring in Koala Circle area of Wood Heights. Following an investigation and execution of a search warrant, Ray County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) deputies arrested James Wayne Woodruff Sr., 68, of Koala Circle on June 6. He currently faces felony charges of second-degree rape and three counts of possession of controlled substances, as well as a misdemeanor third-degree kidnapping charge.
Woodruff is currently being held without bond in Ray County Jail.
In the Tuesday hearing, the prosecution revealed Woodruff has a second case pending against him, saying on March 19 he broke a woman’s jaw. Ray County Judge Lori Baskins said the first-degree domestic assault charge is a Class A felony punishable by 10-30 years in a detention center…
