Area youth among Missouri 4-H delegates
Missouri 4-H recently sent a delegation of youth and adult leaders to Washington, D.C. to participate in the national Ignite by 4-H conference, a fourday immersive youth leadership experience bringing together teens from across the country. Hosted annually by National 4-H Council, Ignite is designed to help youth explore career pathways, build leadership skills and connect with peers and professionals from across the nation.
A total of 56 Missourians attended the conference, including 41 youth and 15 adult chaperones, representing 17 counties across the state: Ray, Audrain, Bollinger, Buchanan, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Crawford, Franklin, Jackson, Macon, Perry, Shelby, St. Louis, Stoddard, Warren, Webster and Wayne counties.
Ignite by 4-H is designed to help teens collaborate, connect and cultivate passions that prepare them for life and future careers. Youth engaged in hands-on workshops and experiential learning in key program areas such as agriscience, animal science, community…
