RICHMOND – One person is dead and four injured seriously following a onevehicle wreck about 9:12 a.m. Saturday at Highways 10 and Y. Shelly M. Lewis, 53, Carrollton, a passenger in the vehicle, died. Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Andy Bell said the patrol’s Major Crash Team investigators are on the case. “It’s considered an ongoing investigation,” Bell said Tuesday, which could be a lengthy process as the cause of the wreck is scrutinized. “Those investigators spend countless hours behind a desk compiling all the data they collected at the scene. … I’ve seen up to 200 pages of a crash report.” After reviewing the data and generating a report, the information goes to patrol headquarters in Jefferson City for public release through the Records Division, Bell said.
