SEE YOU SATURDAY Coach Kaylee Vantrump and her Richmond varsity girls are expecting to play basketball Saturday. The girls edged West Platte 45-40 Monday in the Lawson High School gym to open the Lawson Invitational Tournament. The victory snapped a four-game losing skid. In addition, the win put the Richmond girls in the winner’s-bracket semifinals, slated for Thursday. The Spartans were to play the winner of Tuesday’s meeting between Odessa and Penney of Hamilton. A win Thursday would put Richmond in the championship game, scheduled for noon Saturday in the Lawson High School gym. A defeat would put them in the third-place game, set for 11 a.m. Saturday in the Barker Center.
