De Hesselle, Terry get Richmond boys back on tennis courts

Thanks largely to a German exchange student, Richmond has something it hasn’t had since 2019: a high school boys tennis team. Coached by Brett Terry, who also coaches Richmond’s girls program, the team consisted of seven players as of March 14. Those players included Felix De Hesselle, whom Terry credited with drawing enough interest to field the team. “He’s probably been the biggest help because he’s been getting other people to play,” Terry said near the end of practice March 14 at Maurice Roberts Park, where the Spartans will play their home matches. One person recruited by De Hesselle was junior Gabe Baker.
