June C. Kusick, 99, of Rayville, died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

June was born on June 23, 1922, in Kirkwood, the daughter of Charles L. and Josephine (Nuhs) Kostedt.  She was united in marriage to Charles V. Kusick, Sr., on July 28, 1943; he preceded her in death on December 19, 2001.

Survivors include: three sons: Charles V. Kusick, Jr. of Cameron, James R. Kusick (Walter Dickson) of Cathedral City, CA, and Thomas A. (Monica) Kusick of Jefferson City; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marie Brockelmeyer and Matilda “Sissy” Good.

June was reared and educated in the area of her birth.  She graduated high school and continued her education in business college.  She worked for a construction company as a secretary for many years.  She moved from Kirkwood to Kansas City and then moved to Rayville, where she spent the last years of her life.  She was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she loved all of her grandkids and great-grandkids.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M., with services to follow at 10:30 A.M.  Burial will follow services in the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Liberty.  Please remember to share your memories of June with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
