Bruce Eugene Stockton, 65, of Richmond, died Friday, March 5, 2021, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Bruce was born on Aug. 4, 1955, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Bruce Barton and Wanda Lou (Brown) Stockton. He was united in marriage to Nancy J. Lewis of Richmond on Aug. 4, 2007. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a son, Jeremy Stockton of Kearney; a daughter, Chrissy (Titus) Birdsong of Pleasant Valley; two brothers, Terry Stockton of Richmond and Bobby Stockton of Rayville; a sister, Kay (Brett) Chandler of Lathrop; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Bruce E. Stockton Jr.

Bruce was reared and educated in Richmond and Orrick. Bruce worked as a supervisor for Ferguson’s in Richmond for 20-plus years. After working at Ferguson’s, he had his own home remodeling business. Bruce loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard for eight years.

He was of the Christian faith and a lifelong area resident.
