Water will cost residents more in Richmond
Body
RICHMOND – The cost of using water is rising $1 per 1,000 gallons starting Nov. 15.
The City Council agreed Oct. 12 to a rate of $9.92 per 1,000 gallons used each month, with $9.92 being the minimum anyone pays.
The council had heard earlier about the proposed rate increase, City Administrator Tonya Willim told the council Oct. 12.
“This was included in the (fiscal) 22 budget,” she said. “This will be a dollar increase for the first 1,000 gallons … along with outside rates also being increased by a dollar.”
The council passed the increase unanimously.
