New forgery charges tied to multimillion-dollar investigation
New felony forgery charges have been filed against a Hardin man accused in a multimillion-dollar elder financial exploitation case, with investigators now questioning documents that gave him power of attorney over one of the victims.
Trenton V.M. Hansuld now faces two additional felony counts of forgery stemming from the financial exploitation investigation that led to charges against him last year. He was previously charged with eight felonies, including two counts of financial exploitation of an elder or disabled person, three counts of filing false documents, two counts of stealing $25,000 or more, teller machine or contents and one count of forgery.
His wife, Kirsten Hansuld, of Hardin, faces six felonies, including two counts of financial exploitation of an elder or disabled person, two counts of filing false documents and two counts of stealing $25,000 or more, teller machine or contents.
