Singing Saints coming to Richmond
The Singing Saints of St. Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia will be performing a concert at 7 p.m. on March 3 at the Faith Lutheran Church of Richmond at 805 E. Lexington St.
The choir is on its annual domestic tour, singing this year on an eightday tour throughout the South-Central part of the United States. They will perform in Washington; St. Robert; Richmond; Bethalto; Belleville; Hot Springs, Ark..; Dallas; Broken Arrow, Okla.; and Ottawa, Kan.
The award-winning choir is under the direction of Dr. Jerrode Marsh. The concert admission is free, but donations are kindly requested to help cover expenses for their tour.
The choir comprises 46 students from the 60-plus voice concert choir and will be performing a varied program that includes classic works by J.S. Bach, Sir Edward Elgar, Gabriel Fauré and Jean Berger.
The choir will also be performing traditional spirituals, hymns and anthems, such as settings of “Come, We That Love the Lord” by David von Kampen and “Steal Away…
