Justin Robinson, a 40-year-old Richmond man, has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday, March 19 with Ray County Judge Lori Baskins at the Ray Circuit Court Division. Robinson had two cases totaling 18 felonies. His Jan. 30, 2023, case included six counts of domestic assault, six counts of armed criminal action, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child – creating substantial risk. That case was dismissed after Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Joseph Donald Mc-Gaugh stood in for Judge Baskins and overruled the state’s continuance request. The state has yet to refile the Jan. 30, 2023, case. His remaining case from March 27, 2023, includes two felonies – escape or attempted escape from confinement with a deadly weapon and second-degree assault. In Robinson’s first case, Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers confirmed dispatch received a call in the early morning hours of Jan. 30 by a woman claiming she had been stabbed by Robinson and he fled the scene in her car…
