Local superintendent talks AI
Richmond R-XVI School District Superintendent Dr. Bryan Copple discussed the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the school after attending this year’s Missouri School Board Association MSBA conference in Kansas City.
“Of course, there are many sessions on a variety of topics. However, this year, it seemed like AI kind of dominated that conversation,” said Copple. “It was very interesting, and in the intercession, they asked us to think of what word first comes to mind when you think of AI.”
Copple explained he saw cheating and rewriting papers.
“The sessions really changed it around on how you can use it for a positive. AI can write incredible lesson plans, and it can do random credible tests for teachers. We discuss how we can use that type of technology to help benefit the educational process,” said Copple.
