Richmond retained bragging rights over archrival Lexington when the schools met Jan. 20 at Richmond in Missouri River Valley Conference East Division varsity girls and boys basketball. 

By cruising 55-38, the Richmond girls defeated Lexington for the 10th straight time, Missouri State High School Activities Association records state. The Richmond boys used a 48-25 second half to win 82-51 – their seventh straight win over the Minutemen.
