Ruthie “Darlene” Miller, 65, of Richmond died on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at her residence. Darlene was born on Dec. 2, 1957, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Gayford Ward and Wilma Wills. Survivors include her son, James (Candy Johnson) Pearon of Hardin; daughter, Lori Talli of Higginsville and Karen Pearon; brother, Jerry (Liz) Taylor of Rayville; sisters, Jeanie (Gene) Wyse of Camden and Susie (Kenneth) Wyse of Rolla; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Johnny Ward, Chip Taylor and Donald Ward; and one granddaughter, Lexie Talli.

Darlene loved her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was the most loving and caring person you would ever meet. She loved to smile and had a huge heart.

She was a devout Christian. For those wishing to make a memorial in memory of Darlene, the family humbly suggests they be made to the Darlene Miller Memorial Fund. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Ray County Veterans Memorial Building (Side A) in Richmond.
