Man sought in Richmond shooting investigation found dead
A man allegedly wanted in connection with the shooting at Stella’s Bar and Grill in Richmond on the evening of July 30 was found dead in Lafayette County, according to the Lexington Police Department.
Officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched at approximately 12:44 p.m. Aug. 1 to the area of Summit Camp Road after receiving a report of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“The individual had been wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in Richmond,” said Lexington Police Chief Josh Coen in the release. “At this time, there is no threat to the public. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing in coordination with the appropriate agencies.”
The Richmond Police Department previously confirmed it was investigating a shooting at Stella’s Bar and Grill, 908 East Main Street, on the evening of July 30.
