Holloway looks to continue safeguarding county funds

Ray County voters will decide whether to keep the incumbent county treasurer in office when they cast ballots in the Aug. 4 election.

Melissa Holloway is seeking re-election as Ray County treasurer and is unopposed.

Holloway, 54, of Richmond, was born and raised on a Ray County farm and graduated from Stet High School before attending Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg for two years. She worked for 23 years at a local title company before taking office in January 2015.

She and her husband have been together for 36 years and have three children, a daughter-in-law and one grandson.

“I am running for re-election for Ray County treasurer because safeguarding county funds requires integrity, precision and accuracy, all vital qualities which I have proven to possess,” said Holloway. “I am honored the citizens have entrusted me with this responsibility and when reelected, my commitment to the citizens will continue.”
