Richmond native earns Tony
A Richmond native is now part of Broadway history after earning a Tony Award as part of the producing team behind the revival of “Ragtime.”
Nick Padgett, a producer, director, choreographer and actor originally from Richmond, recently earned a Tony Award through his involvement with the Broadway production, adding another milestone to a career that has spanned theater, immersive entertainment and live productions across the country.
Padgett is the owner of Padgett Productions, a company that produces theatrical productions, concerts and entertainment experiences in Kansas City, Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles. The company celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025.
Throughout his career, Padgett has been involved in more than 150 productions and numerous live events, building credits that range from Broadway and Off-Broadway productions to immersive attractions and national entertainment projects.
