A Richmond native is now part of Broadway history after earning a Tony Award as part of the producing team behind the revival of “Ragtime.” Nick Padgett, a producer, director, choreographer and actor originally from Richmond, recently earned a Tony Award through his involvement with the Broadway production, adding another milestone to a career that has spanned theater, immersive entertainment and live productions across the country. Padgett is the owner of Padgett Productions, a company that produces theatrical productions, concerts and entertainment experiences in Kansas City, Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles. The company celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025.
