Area community members receive academic recognition

Multiple local community members recently earned academic honors from colleges and universities across the area for their achievements during the spring 2026 semester. Belmont University recently released its Dean’s List for the spring 2026 semester, with approximately 49% of the university’s 6,724 undergraduate students earning the recognition. Claire Swafford of Richmond was among the students named to the Dean’s List. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a grade-point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C. “The Dean’s List recognition reflects a commitment to excellence that is both personal and shared across our community,” said Dr. David Gregory, provost and executive vice president for academic excellence. “This semester marked meaningful growth across our campus, from breaking ground on new facilities to increasing support for our shared vision.
