Ray County weighs bridge priorities, infrastructure costs
With multiple aging bridges under consideration for repair, replacement or removal, Ray County commissioners are weighing engineering costs, railroad coordination and future infrastructure priorities.
Commissioners recently reviewed multiple bridge and roadway infrastructure projects during a meeting, including a proposed aluminum box culvert replacement on West 216th Street, preliminary planning for West 84th Street and a professional services agreement for the planned removal of the Henrietta overpass bridge on Lexington Road.
Regarding the planned removal of the Henrietta overpass bridge, commissioners reviewed a proposed agreement with Great River Engineering (GRE) tied to preliminary engineering, bidding coordination and construction oversight for the project.
