Richmond city leaders are pursuing continued participation in Missouri’s Blue Shield program as officials seek future grant opportunities tied to law enforcement funding and public safety initiatives. Council members approved a resolution allowing the Richmond Police Department to apply for Blue Shield designation, a statewide program launched under Gov. Mike Kehoe that recognizes communities supporting law enforcement recruitment, retention and public safety efforts.
