SHOWTIME AT THE COMBINE Richmond graduate Keyshaun Elliott will get to display his skills for NFL coaches and administrators next week. Elliott, who played college football at New Mexico State University and then at Arizona State University, has been invited to attend the NFL scouting combine, set to run Feb. 23-March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. He’s among 29 linebackers and 300-plus athletes invited to the talent evaluation event. Elliott is in position to join a list of Richmond graduates who’ve played some form of professional football. That list includes Trevon Alexander, a 2018 graduate now playing for the Green Bay Blizzard in the Indoor Football League. Alexander offered some advice for Elliott during a Feb. 13 interview in the Richmond High School gym: “always put God first.” “His plan is set, and no one can disrupt his plan,” Alexander said.
